Dr. Bernie Quiroga, PhD A long time in the making, arrived with perfect timing (at the tail end of the warm weather season here in Chile). Mikey's versatility as a composer and instrumentalist shines through on his first non-prog release. Love it! Favorite track: Beach Blanket.

Shawn Sutherland This album is a total departure for Michael Bernier, as it is an overt and unapologetic homage to The Beach Boys. MB definitely succeeds in that endeavor, but one’s appreciation of it might depend upon how much one does (not) like 1960s surf and sand music.

I appreciate this album for what it is owing to MB’s talent. Those seeking his “proggier” sounds, though, should investigate Leviathan and Veil, as well as MB’s two collaborative albums with Ritchie De Carlo. Favorite track: No More Wasted Time.
